All partners believe in the vision of caregivers in Waukesha County receiving the support they need. | | Awareness Helping family caregivers to realize that their role may be challenging, and that they are entitled to ask for help is the first step in supporting them. Employers are in a unique position to offer assistance and information to employees who are balancing job responsibilities with the demands of caring for a senior. The Caregiver Connection partners offer a Caregiver Awareness Simulation, presentations at workplaces and one on one support through phone calls and in-person visits to help managers and human resource professionals to learn techniques that will better support employees who are providing care to a senior. Collaboration with the Waukesha County Business Alliance includes special programs and opportunities to "wake up" the business community at scheduled events such as Alliance Breakfasts. | Diane Ordway, RN Caregiver Connection Coordinator diane@interfaithwaukesha.org Lynda Markut at the Alzheimer’s Association of S.E.
